Neolithic revolution
The Greek word Neolithic means new stone. Humans during the Neolithic Age planted crops and started developing a regular food source some of the crops were wheat and barley. They domesticated animals such as pigs, cows, goats and sheep. When the neolithic people came up with a surplus of food they took on different roles and traded food and sold food to other people. Their civilizations had 6 characteristics these characteristics are religion, social structure, writing, art, government, cities. Temples and pyramids were built in ancient cities for worship or sacrifices or burial of kings and important people. Their were 3 effects of the neolithic revolution their was a surplus of food encouraged trade and the division of labor. Skilled workers, such as artisans, began to emerge and develop. Roles of the men and woman changed and rise of villages developed into more complex and wealthy societies.
